My Review: I’m a bit torn on DELILAH GREEN DOESN’T CARE. Firstly, this book very early on had one of my most hated tropes of all tropes in a romance and I considered DNF’ing it immediately. The thing is, a lot of my friends have read this book and loved it (or at least, really enjoyed it) and so I figured there must be something going for it.
And there was. It was a cute romance but it was very heavy on two tropes that I dislike. 1) The DNF offender was a bet. Any time someone makes a bet about getting with someone, I have instant hate feels. 2) Miscommunication. That dreaded trope where grown ass adults can’t just talk to each other. And it wasn’t just our main couple, there were MULTIPLE couples who made this offense.
The main couple was enjoyable and I do think they’re good together, I just wish it had less of the tropes I don’t like. I have a very big aversion to the plot of book 2 so I probably won’t continue with this series.
